In this episode I examine the question of why so few women in software development?
Only about 20% of people in software development are women. I discuss various reasons this might be, and reveal a very interesting, and very robust, psychology finding that I think goes some way towards explaining this difference.
However, quick to point out the importance of treating individuals as individuals always, regardless of any group characteristics, and the importance of not being satisfied that the entire difference can be explained in this way and to continue to strive for higher representation.
